Titanium Rain Audio Drama Now Available!

The Audio Comics Company and 01 Publishing are happy to announce the release of the Titanium Rain Audio Drama.

Titanium Rain is a feature length “audio film” produced by the Audio Comics Company. It is an audio adaptation of the book, Titanium Rain, one of the most acclaimed (and controversial) graphic novel series in recent years. Scripted by the book’s author, Josh Finney, this audio drama remains completely loyal to the original to the material, yet offers new and expanded scene that were not in the printed version.

This production features a full cast of actors, a completely immersive sound design, and an original score composed by BBC soundtrack artist, Jonathan Sharp. Stylistically, Titanium Rain has been called a “revolutionary leap forward” in the audio medium. Unlike old-time “radio plays” of yesteryear, this production captures the full-scope and grandeur of a major motion picture.

Recording the Titanium Rain Audio Drama

November 5^th saw Josh Finney and Kat Rocha (creators of Titanium Rain) in Portland ME to oversee the recording of the upcoming Titanium Rain Audio Drama with the very talented Audio Comics Company.

The Audio Comics Company is comprised of veteran actors William Dufris and Lance Axed as well as comic book veteran writer Elaine Lee of Starstruck and Vamps.

It’s quite an amazing thing to see talented actors apply their craft.
The cast selected by @audiocomic was damn near perfect. And the brit who flew out to voice Happy? This woman is going to be famous. Serious
One regret? I really wish Major Graves had more scenes because the actor @audiocomic got to play him took a handful of line & MADE it art.
Well, at least Major Graves has a lot of scenes in book 2. Yes we are already discussing it as an audio drama.
Had a blast recording w/ the @audiocomics company. All true pros. Definately check them out if u haven’t already
You can see Liz Knowelden, the actress who played Happy, in the zombie comedy “Last Man On Earth” with Avery Brooks & Robert Piccardo.

What was funny yesterday was teaching a group of actors the concept of the USMC chant “OOO-rah!” And them to starting using it constantly.
It was also amusing to see their reactions as I explained the unofficial motto of the USMC was “Yeah! Get some!”
Had to also explain it ALWAYS had to be “OOO-rah” and never “HOO-raw” because that mistake could get your ass kicked

The Titanium Rain audio drama is due out by second quarter of 2012.

The AudioComics Company is excited to announce that they will be adapting the graphic novel series Titanium Rain as a full-cast audio theatre productions! The work will be adapted for audio by co-creators Josh Finney and Kat Rocha, and directed by AudioComics Company Co-Producer William Dufris.

Produced by 01Publishing and published by Archaia Entertainment, Titanium Rain is a sci-fi war epic set in the year 2031 where a civil war in China has escalated into a global conflict that has decimated entire nations and millions of innocent lives. And for many, like US Air Force pilot Alec Killian, survival in this new age means that man and machine must exist as one. In the spirit of films such as Ghost in the Shell and Blackhawk Down, Titanium Rain follows Killian’s journey through mankind’s worst, only to discover its best.

The AudioComics Company is excited to announce that they will be adapting Glitchwerk Studios’ graphic novel series Titanium Rain as one of their next full-cast audio theatre productions, with the first book in the trilogy recording this fall for a winter 2012 release, with parts two and three to be recorded later that year. The work will be adapted for audio by co-creators Josh Finney and Kat Rocha, and directed by AudioComics Company Co-Producer William Dufris.
